Carried out over two days in Antofagasta, Chile’s mining capital, the first OECD meeting on mining regions had the objective of building a network to enhance productivity and wellbeing in regions and cities specialising in mining and extractive industries. Seminars and workshops brought together authorities and experts from Chile, Argentina, Australia, Canada, Colombia, Finland, France, Mexico, Peru, Sweden and the United States, who presented successful experiences from the business community, the public sector and NGOs.

To ensure that this diverse group of delegates could communicate without language barriers, Envision Consultores provided translation and simultaneous interpreting services for the event, with a team of seven professionals covering everything from one-to-one meetings to plenary seminars. As a regional company specialising in the mining business, we strongly identify with the goal of empowering local suppliers to the mining industry, and are proud to have been selected as providers to this important event.
